Week 2 - Chapter 64/13/2020 The Nature of Crime.
Essential Questions: 1) How is crime defined in Canada? 2) What must a person do to be convicted of a crime? 3) Who is involved in committing a crime? Under Law Materials, I have posted my powerpoint slides from first semester, as well as optional guided Cornell notes. You will also find a link to the online Canadian Criminal Code-- you can search by section number if you have it, or by topic. When the text refers to specific sections, you can look up the specific legal wording. Please ensure you are taking notes on the chapter, and contributing to the online discussion. Your understanding of the legal vocabulary will help you use the proper terminology online, and in your summative assignments. There is a single worksheet on Actus Reus & Mens Rea-- please complete this assignment and submit through teams. Please also ensure you have completed all previous, and late work, including your conclusions on evidence and last weeks case study.
